When setting up a subwoofer, consider three key distances for optimal placement. Firstly, measure the distance from your listening position to the room boundaries. Secondly, determine the distance from your listening position to the speakers. Lastly, assess the distance from the speakers to the room boundaries. These factors help optimize the placement of the subwoofer in relation to the room and speakers for improved audio performance.
For optimal sound, speakers should be positioned in line with your Listening Axis, which is the height of your ears in a seated position. Ideally, the top half of the speakers’ tweeters (the smallest cones) should align with the Listening Axis. This placement helps ensure that the sound is directed towards your ears, enhancing the overall listening experience.
Setting up your Alpha AM3 and AM5 with the PSR-1 remote is simple! Power on with the remote or speaker switch, and the LED will show the last source. Use the +/- buttons to adjust volume, or press Input to switch between sources like Optical, Analog, or Bluetooth. The LED color will change to match the chosen source. For Bluetooth pairing, press Input repeatedly until the LED flashes blue-red. On your device, search for “PSB Alpha” and connect. You can even adjust sample rate between 44.1kHz and 48kHz by holding the left or right Input button for five seconds. Enjoy your music!
To copy PSR-1 remote codes to a non-PSB remote, activate the IR Learning feature on the PSR-1 by holding the Mute button until the status LED flashes Red and White.
